NBA Draft Wrap

June 25 2009

This year the NBA Draft was loaded with guards. The Minnesota Timberwolves had the most picks with 6. They got 5 Guards and 1 forward. Jordan Hill got drafted #8 to the New York Knicks and Chase got drafted #44 overall to the Detroit Pistons. He just got traded to the Houston Rockets. A lot of people thought that Chase was a lock to go in the 1st round. Some people didn't think that Chase was tough enough. What was up with Brandon Jennings being late? James Harden from ASU got picked #3 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jeff Pendergraph got picked in the 2nd round and got traded to Portland. North Carolina had the most players drafted while Arizona and ASU had 2 players drafted.

Penn State football prediction

June 17 2009

Penn State football has one of the most easiest schedules ever. Their non conference schedule is Akron, Syracuse, Temple and Eastern Illinois. Eastern Illinois, Akron and Temple were 5-7 last year. Syracuse went 3-9 last year. We have our 2 toughest games Iowa and Ohio State at home. We lose our top 3 Wide Receivers and starting secondary and 3 seniors from the O-Line. But they return Daryll Clark at QB ( a 5th year senior) both their running backs and the best linebackers in the Big 10 (Sean Lee, Navarro Bowman, Nate Stupar and Josh Hull). I think they go 11-1 in the regular season losing to Ohio State but getting revenge of U$C in the Rose Bowl.
Arizona football prediction

June 17 2009

Well we lose our Starting QB Willie Tuitama, our best WR Mike Thomas, our senior Kicker Jason Bondizio and some members from the line. Our schedule is somewhat hard. We have to play 3 straight road games (Iowa, Oregon State and Washington) at Cal and we finish at ASU and U$C. We have the best TE in the Pac 10 (Rob Gronkowski). I think we are going 8-4 and heading to Vegas again.
Theus to SC? MoMo to visit Zona

June 17 2009

Here is some big news. Reggie Theus is going to meet with Mike Garrett on Thursday.
They wanted to get Jamie Dixon from Pitt but he wanted to stay at Pitt. Reggie has said that if he was offered the job he would accept it.
Thanks to the turmoil at SC Lamont "MoMo" Jones has been released from his LOI and will visit Florida and Arizona. I predict he goes to Arizona but nothing is for sure yet. Coach Miller has said “I’m becoming more optimistic we could add a fourth and maybe a fifth”. They could be MoMo and Derrick Williams (a 4 star PF from La Mirada, CA).
Bye Bye Tim

June 9 2009

Breaking News: Tim Floyd out as USC Basketball Coach. This comes after the NCAA launched an investigation into their football and basketball programs.
He sent a letter to Mike Garrett (the USC AD). He said that he didn't have the same enthusiasm "that is deserved by the university, my coaching staff, my players, their families, and the supporters of Southern Cal".

With Nic coming back we will have 10 scholarship players. This year Nic will have a good shot at Pac 10 Player of the Year.

Noel Johnson Gets Released from USC; Jarrid Famous Wants out of South Florida

May 26 2009

Noel Johnson wanted to get released from Southern Cal and he got it. He wanted to leave because of the possible violations that may come for USC.
He is now considering Georgia Tech, LSU and Memphis.

Jarrid Famous, a Juco Center who committed to South Florida wants to be released. He wants to be released because Byron Samuels, who recruited him, was fired by Heath. He is considering Arizona, Missouri and Seton Hall. http://www2.tbo.com/content/2009/may/26/usfs-top-hoops-recruit-wants-out/sports/
Thank god we got Sean

May 15 2009

Since we got Sean we went from Indiana last year (8-23) with only 1 returning player to a great shot at #26. Sean has made the 12th best recruiting class for 2009 (Scout.com) in just under a month. The latest on Lance Stephenson is that he is down to Arizona and Memphis. I hope he comes to Arizona even though he will likely be one and done. If we would of hired Tim "Pink" Floyd then we would of been screwed for a really long time.

NFL Draft wrap

April 27 2009

Oakland's first two picks are big surprises. Their first one was Darrius Heyward-Bey (Maryland) and their second was Michael Mitchell (Ohio). Heyward Bey, a Wide Receiver, has a lot of speed but his catches are inconsistent. Michael Mitchell, a safety, didn't make the MAC defensive team. The USC Trojans had 11 players drafted this year. Arizona had 2 (Eben Britton and Mike Thomas) both to Jacksonville and Penn State had 5 (Derrick Williams, Deon Butler, Aaron Maybin, Rich Ohrnberger and A.Q. Shipley)
