College football notes 8/29

New Mexico QB David Vega has been suspended indefinitely due to legal reasons.

San Jose State DT Joe Nigos, Boise State S Taylor Loffler and Florida State TE Dan Hicks will miss the season due to knee injuries.

California LB Cecil Whiteside will miss the season due to academics.

Stanford FB Geoff Meinken will be out indefinitely due to a knee injury.

Washington LB Cooper Pelluer will miss the season due to a shoulder injury
